6'2 Shortboard

Just finished this really nice looking 6'2 for a guy named Greg. He wanted a more traditional thruster to add to his quiver and we decided that template and measurements taken from a 6'2 JS Flyboy was the closest to what he wanted. The only difference is a slight single concave through the tail oppose to the single/double that the JS has. Saw Greg out in the water today and he states that the board paddles great and he loves the ride it offered. He notes the difference in the feel of a thruster as he's more used to riding a Stretch quad, but says it's just what he was looking for.

My 9'0 Longboard

This is the longboard that I ride. I thought that I'd put this one up too. I modeled this one from several different boards. The nose shape is from a Robert August (Summer Classic). There is also a channel on the bottom straight through the nose to about the middle. That idea was from a McTavish. I like diamond tails so I thought it'd be nice on there. Set up is a 2+1 so I can ride it in some bigger surf using side bite fins and a 7" center fin. But the Pivot fin (shown) is great for cruising and nose riding. Cut lapped resin tint that is Coke bottle green. The board bears both old and the newer "65" logos. The board is a great paddling board and is light. I used 4oz cloth oppose to a more standard 6oz or 8oz cloth. Competition longboards often are glassed lighter, I compete in ESA (Eastern Surfing Association) and wanted a lighter board and this one is perfect. The downside is, that it will not last as long as a longboard with a heavier glassing. So one should consider that before ordering this type of board.

7'5 Fun Gun

The template for this board was taken from a Town and Country out of Hawaii. Future fin system and Soft Flex fins. An excellent board for performance in chest high or larger surf. The bigger the better this board will perform.

6'0 Shortboard

This nice shortboard was a donation to the Hope from Helen Auction in December of 2007. This is a wonderful event held every year for the past 3 years where the money raised is donated to various charities which Helen Butler approved of before her passing after battling cancer. The owner got it at a great price. The painting on the deck was donated by fellow friend Steve Calfee who also took the pics. This is the first board to bear the new '65' Logo and the 'BYRD design' signature laminate.

6'4 Performance Shortboard

This 6'4 Shortboard was dubbed "Diablo" and is on fire as it screams down the line. This is the second "Sixty5ive" board this owner has and he's looking for another one in the summer.

7'0 Funboard

This board is lovingly named "Patunia" by it's owner who states it's a very stable and a fun board to ride. I thought it looked like an Easter Egg.

9'0 Longboard

This beauty was a custom for a friend known as "Eric Von Zipper". His color choice was "Beeswax" and dimensions were taken from a Perfection he previously owned.
